Betting sites & exchanges
Any bookmaker can advertise live markets, and the licence behind the advert is what separates one from another. The Commission’s register is therefore the starting point.
Best and new bookmakers, independents, exchanges, spread betting platforms and high-limit or no-limit sites make up the contents; each type is compared in its own article. Exchanges hold a betting intermediary licence.
Licensed operators trade on .com addresses, so an address proves nothing and the public register does the proving. Limits on stakes are set by each operator, because no statutory stake cap for sports betting has been established.
