Rugby, cricket & Gaelic
A rugby match swings on a single try and a cricket innings on a single wicket, so these games give in-play markets plenty to work with. The section looks at them live, and at the law that covers them.
Rugby union and league run on handicaps and winning margins, and cricket on innings and match lines. Netball, hurling and Gaelic football round out the group.
A Gambling Commission licence rests on the Gambling Act 2005, which reaches England, Scotland and Wales and stops there. Northern Ireland is outside the Act, so the Great Britain licence says nothing about live betting on Gaelic games played in the north.
